Sustainable modernisation of existing KNX systems – without any structural work
PEAKnx,a manufacturer of innovative solutions for future-proof home and building automation based in Darmstadt, Germany, has developed new adapters designed to replace older KNX touch panels from JUNG. Using these adapters, the JUNG Smart Control 7 and Smart Control 10 can be upgraded to the PEAKnx Control 12 or Control 16 – without altering the flush-mounted box or carrying out any refurbishment work.
Seamless modernisation of existing installations
The new adapters were developed specifically for the JUNG Smart Control 7 and Smart Control 10. When replacing a Smart Control 7 with a PEAKnx Control 12 or Control 16, the existing SC 7 EBG flush-mounted box remains in place. The adapter is fixed onto this box, after which the new panel is mounted. No chiselling, plasterwork or structural adjustments are required.
The same applies when replacing a JUNG Smart Control 10: the existing SC 10 EBG flush-mounted box can be used to install a Control 16.
Greater convenience and flexibility with modern PEAKnx touch panels
With the new replacement kits, users gain access to cutting-edge KNX technology and powerful, slimline control devices with a high-quality finish. Both the 11.6-inch Control 12 and the 15.6-inch Control 16 run the full Windows IoT Enterprise LTSC operating system. In addition to the integrated YOUVI visualisation software, the panels support other Windows-based and browser-based visualisations. This includes the JUNG Smart Visu Server, which allows KNX visualisations to be created easily and operated conveniently via browser or app.
Fanless convection cooling ensures silent and low-maintenance operation. The panels allow central control of lighting, shading, heating and a range of other building functions. Thanks to their slim design, they integrate seamlessly into a wide variety of interior styles.
