Two versions, two colour options
The Presence detectors Mini are available in two technical versions – Standard and Universal – each with a light or dark lens. The range therefore includes four device variants:
- 337001SLE – KNX Presence detector Mini Standard, light lens
- 337001SDE – KNX Presence detector Mini Standard, dark lens
- 339001SLE – KNX Presence detector Mini Universal, light lens
- 339001SDE – KNX Presence detector Mini Universal, dark lens
For the dark lens version, a design ring in anthracite is included in the scope of delivery, allowing the detector to blend harmoniously into darker ceilings or room concepts.
Proven installation, new technology
In developing the new detectors, JUNG focused on maximum compatibility. The installation dimensions remain identical to the previous model, so existing installations can be replaced without structural changes. The existing surface-mounting sets also continue to fit.
Installation is simple and time-efficient. Communication and parameterisation take place via KNX Data Secure – encrypted data transmission protects against manipulation and unauthorised access.
Advanced sensor technology with extended functions
Both versions feature an integrated temperature sensor. The Universal version adds a humidity sensor, which also calculates the dew point and provides it as a separate object. This expanded sensor package enables new applications, such as air-conditioning control to prevent condensation and mould formation. If no presence is detected, the system can automatically reduce cooling or ventilation.
Internally, the models differ in the number of PIR sensors:
- The Standard model operates with one PIR sensor,
- the Universal model uses three PIR sensors for even more precise detection.
In addition, the Universal version offers further features: an orientation LED, RGB status indication, and light regulation.
Flexible use thanks to function blocks
The KNX Presence detectors Mini provide three or five function blocks, which can be parameterised individually. In addition to motion detection, separate blocks are available for light regulation and orientation light. This enables a wide range of application scenarios:
- Corridors and passageways: automatic lighting control using the motion detector – lighting function block.
- Offices: efficient lighting management via presence detector – lighting.
- HVAC systems: optimised indoor climate control using presence detector – heating/ventilation/air-conditioning.
- Security monitoring: surveillance of unused rooms with presence detector – monitoring.
- Custom applications: flexible configuration via the presence detector – universal function block.
With these function blocks, a single device can handle multiple tasks – from energy-efficient lighting control to automated climate regulation.
New database for intuitive parameterisation
Commissioning is carried out using the ETS (Engineering Tool Software). The product database has been completely redesigned in line with existing Secure devices from JUNG. It features a modern, modular user interface with infographics that visualise functions and simplify configuration. The database was not ported from previous models to achieve clearer logic and consistent terminology.
Security and future-proof design
With KNX Data Secure, all communication data is transmitted in encrypted form, meeting current cybersecurity requirements in building automation. Thanks to the compact design, flexible function blocks and advanced sensor technology, the Presence detectors Mini are universally applicable – in residential buildings, offices, hotels and public facilities alike.
