The KNX touch panel Control 16 impresses with enhanced performance, a new design, and an increased screen-to-body ratio
PEAKnx, manufacturer of innovative solutions for future-proof home and building automation based in Darmstadt (www.peaknx.com), has launched another touch panel, the Control 16. The new model expands the existing product range with a high-performance, design-driven solution featuring a 15.6-inch screen. The Control 16 is available as of 1st July 2025.
More screen, more power, more design flexibility
Like all PEAKnx touch panels, the Control 16 comes standard with the YOUVI Basic software package. This integrated solution includes visualisation, an IP router and a bus monitor.
Compared to the Control 12, the “smaller sibling” of the new panel, the Control 16 introduces several new features:
- The 15.6-inch Full HD display with an improved screen-to-body ratio provides a larger visualisation area and thus more space for control interfaces. Thanks to its reduced-bezel design, the new model integrates seamlessly into modern residential and commercial environments.
- The brightness and proximity sensors, as well as the notification LED, are centrally positioned at the top edge of the display on the Control 16.
Another new feature is the five function buttons located along the right-hand side of the panel.
These side buttons can be individually assigned to devices, HTTP commands – for example, to open garage doors – or, when using YOUVI, to logic functions.
Inside, a modern Intel processor combined with 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD ensures strong performance – even in demanding projects and applications.
The panel runs on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC, making it open to all other Windows- or web-based visualisation platforms and suitable for browser-based applications.
Its fanless convection cooling enables silent and low-maintenance operation.
Design diversity in three colours
The Control 16 is available in sandblasted finishes in black and silver, as well as in a limited special edition in honey gold with brushed elements – initially restricted to 40 units.
The magnetically attached front glass comes in black or white as standard. An individual print design is also available on request.
Flexible mounting options
The new PEAKnx touch panel is suitable for flush-mounted, surface-mounted and fully recessed installation.
Existing flush-mounted back boxes and surface frames from the Control 12 can continue to be used, making the Control 16 an ideal upgrade option for existing customers – for example, when replacing the former Controlmini or a Control 12. Matching adapter solutions are available for surface and flush mounting.
“With the Control 16, we are delivering a touch panel that stands out with its generous display size, strong performance, flexible use and new design options,” says Lorenz Rohrmann, Managing Director of PEAKnx. “For anyone unwilling to compromise on smart home operating comfort, it is the ideal choice.”
