JUNG presents two new KNX multi stations that combine the full range of functions of several individual devices in one housing and thus save space in the control cabinet.

With the KNX multi stations 2570M1SR and 2590M1SR, JUNG is expanding the KNX portfolio with two versatile solutions that combine the functional scope of several individual actuators in a compact design. A decisive advantage: In the future, installers will need fewer individual devices without compromising on functionality. This not only reduces the space required in the control cabinet, but also simplifies wiring and reduces overall costs.
Both models combine switching, dimming, shading and HVAC functions, enabling particularly efficient project design, e.g. in the hotel industry. Here, a single device can control the entire room, taking up less space in the control cabinet, reducing costs per room and simplifying maintenance. The two models differ in the number of channels and in the fact that the multi station universal (2590M1SR) also has a 0-10 V interface.
Common properties
Both multi stations are compatible with KNX Data Secure and can be parameterised with ETS version 5.7.7 or 6.3.0 or higher. The possible applications cover a wide range:
• Lighting: switching and dimming of various loads, scene control.
• Shading: control of blinds, shutters and awnings including safety functions for wind, rain and frost.
• HVAC: integrated room temperature control, fan coil control, operation in two or four-wire system.
• Connections: Binary inputs for push-buttons or contacts.
• Logic functions: Links, disabling functions, forced guidance.
A local manual control panel also facilitates commissioning and provides direct access to the outputs in case of service. As usual, firmware updates can be conveniently imported with the JUNG ETS Service app.

Multi station 2570M1SR: compact and versatile
The multi station 2570M1SR measures just 4 rail units in width and has eight outputs: two dimming outputs and six relay outputs. This allows flexible control of lighting, shading or valve drives. Thanks to two integrated HVAC controllers, the device is particularly suitable for applications where temperature control, fan levels and shading need to be combined. The dimming channels can be used for dimmable loads (e.g. LEDs) as well as for valve drives. Non-dimmable lamps can also be switched flicker-free via these channels. With this equipment, the multi station offers a compact solution for standard applications in residential and functional buildings.
Universal 2590M1SR multi station: extended range of functions
The universal 2590M1SR multi station has 17 outputs in a housing with a width of 8 rail units. It combines four dimming outputs, ten relay outputs and three additional analogue actuators (0-10 V). This makes it the ideal choice for more complex projects with extended HVAC requirements. The 0-10 V interfaces allow direct control of fans or continuous valve drives, an added value when integrating heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Additional relay channels offer sufficient applications for lighting and shading control in larger installations. All protection and diagnostic functions are also available, from overload monitoring to power failure messages.
Practical benefits by simple commissioning
For planners and integrators, the multi stations offer increased flexibility. Instead of planning several individual actuators next to each other, a single device is often sufficient. This saves space, reduces the number of components, simplifies wiring and reduces potential sources of error. The devices also score when it comes to commissioning: the combination of ETS parameterisation and manual operation on site facilitates testing, service and maintenance. Thanks to the option of integration in KNX Secure, the multi stations are also prepared for the upward trend in IT security requirements in building automation.
Conclusion
With the new multi stations, JUNG presents two compact system components that bridge the gap between versatility and efficiency. While the 2570M1SR convinces as a space-saving solution for standard applications, the 2590M1SR with its extended range of functions is particularly suitable for extensive projects with HVAC components. In both cases, installers benefit from full functionality in the smallest of spaces – an approach that simplifies both the planning and the implementation of KNX projects.
