Basalte Wins 4th iF Design Award with its Asano KNX Multiroom Audio System

Stand 7-Q190, ISE 2014

Basalte, the young Belgian company known for her unique tactile switches, has just been awarded with the iF product design award 2014 for Asano P1, an audio amplifier that is part of the new Asano multiroom audio system.

Asano is a decentralised multiroom audio system that brings crystal-clear music in every room. It has been developed for use with KNX and combines an unseen flexibility with a smooth and pure design. With Asano, sources and amplifiers can be separated and freely located anywhere in the building. The system transports music over Ethernet to every zone in a digitally transparent and uncompressed way.

The Asano system is a modular concept that consists out of several devices of which the P1 is the zone amplifier.

For over 60 years, the iF design award has recognised outstanding achievements in design. For Basalte this label is a recognition for its continuous work towards simplicity, quality and simple design for its products.

The company has won already multiple design awards, and this is the fourth time in only a few years that is has won the iF product design award. This makes Basalte one of the most successful iF award winners.
