The Smart Living Summit 2024 tool place on October 23, 2024 in Stadthalle Erding, Munich-Erding Germany. It was organized by bayern innovativ, SmartHome Initiative Deutschland, Wirtschaftsinitiative Smart Living Deutschland, dena | KEDi and GdW-Bundesverband deutscher Wohnungs- und Immobilienunternehmen.
The event covered intelligent buildings, network heating, air conditioning, household appliances, and entertainment electronics, with presentations by the organising associations, and speakers from different manufacturer brands also on site. The majority of the presentations included KNX applications.
The feeling was that everyone should be prepared for future topics in the field of energy management and security, and with KNX this is a big step forward.
Events like this show the importance of sustainable thinking and energy management with KNX. The strong presence of KNX in various associations is a sign of the growth and acceptance of the KNX brand. Members of KNX Germany such as Hans Joachim Langels from Siemens, Markus Fromm Wittenberg from Gira or Artur Bäcker from Weinzierl shared their knowledge about the future of the global common standard. This was also confirmed by the presence of KNX Association CEO Heinz Lux and former President Franz Kammerl.
The next event will take place in November 2025.
