ZF, TAPKO and Voltus Cooperate to Offer KNX RF Training Kit for Training Centres

The KNX Association has given the target that KNX RF should be added to the KNX Basic Course by all European training centres from Autumn 2019 onwards (at the latest from Spring 2020). Therefore, all certified training centres in Europe will use at least one KNX RF switch and one KNX RF media coupler.

For this reason, TAPKO Technologies, ZF Friedrichshafen and Voltus are cooperating to offer a KNX RF-S training kit as a perfect basis for training centres to start with KNX RF. The partners have composed a basic kit (Voltus part number: 1692969), which consists of a KNX RF switch with programming adapter from ZF, compatible design parts and a KNX RF media coupler. The pushbutton module AFIM-1010 from ZF is the worldwide first KNX RF switch module with its own power supply that is configurable via the ETS5. The incorporated energy generator produces enough energy to generate KNX RF telegrams. The interface to existing KNX TP installations is managed by the KNX RF media coupler.

In addition to the basic kit, a supporting extension kit (Voltus part number: 1692970) is offered which contains a KNX RF USB stick, as well as a KNX RF socket to enable the training of additional functions. All included products match perfectly and aid smooth education and training for KNX training centers. Also, for experienced users the set provides a good introduction to KNX RF.

Both sets are directly available from Voltus. For certified training centers, the kits are provided at preferential conditions. For this purpose, please contact Voltus direct:
